9th Annual Thanksgiving Basket Food RunSponsored by UMME, HEB, Fort Hood Harley-Davidson, and The Kettle. The benefit ride starts at Fort Hood Harley-Davidson. Registration is from 8:30 am to 10:00 am and the motorcycles roll out at 10:30 am. The fee is $15.00 for the rider or $20.00 with a passenger. The first 100 riders receive a commemorative patch. This is an organized motorcycle ride benefiting the ACS Food Bank/Pantry on Fort Hood supporting active duty soldiers, retires, and their families. 8th Annual Guardians of the Children Charity Biker RallySponsored by Guardians of the Children, San Antonio chapter. The event will take place at Helotes Fairgrounds. Gates open at 11:00 am. General admission is $5.00 per person. This 50-mile, Blue Knights-escorted charity motorcycle ride from Houston to Galveston is a fun-filled day benefiting thousands of impoverished children who seek healthcare from one of 16 CHRISTUS School-Based Clinics. 1st Annual Motorcycle Fun Run This is a fund-raiser for the Son Shine Lighthouse, a transitional women's home, for women and their children. It is a 501(c)3 ministry that is a year-long, faith-based, program which does not accept any government funding to support the women and their children. They provide a safe environment, discipleship programs through Bible studies, physical, dental and mental health services, substance abuse recovery programs, job readiness skills through Christian Women's Job Corp., educational advancement through Kilgore College, and Celebrate Recovery. 22nd Annual Teddy Bear RideThe annual Teddy Bear Ride is the longest standing event for the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County (CACCC). It generates much needed funds and lovable teddy bears that are given to children visiting CACCC. In the last 6 years alone, the ride has generated nearly $140,000, 10,000 teddy bears, and immeasurable comfort for thousands of children victimized by abuse and neglect. San Antonio Ride for KidsRiders on all makes and models are welcome to attend. The suggested minimum donation to ride is $40 per motorcycle. We encourage you to fundraise before the event to make a real difference to the kids. Online registration is open until noon Eastern on the Friday before the ride. Onsite registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 9:30 a.m. The escorted ride starts at 10 a.m. sharp, rain or shine! The ride will loop back to the start point.
